Top 4 Facebook Advertising Tips

Facebook Ads are a great way to attract targeted leads to your website, and if your page is optimized properly (see bottom), it will do tremendous things for increasing your sales and getting more business leads.

But most people just don’t have a strategy

I have noticed that many DIY type of people just throw up a campaign, hit the “Boost Post” button a few times and just ‘see what happens’. Unfortunately this doesn’t work.

Planning goals for advertising and having a way to measure your results ahead of time will save you money and produce much better results.

Determine the goal of your ad before you attempt to create anything.

Do you want to fill an event, sell a high ticket product, or are you just trying to increase likes on your Facebook page?

Really ask yourself, what is it that you’re trying to do, and IS IT WORTH IT?

If yes, it can really be a good idea:

For example,

If you’re running ads to a high converting landing page and each signup costs you $1, you may be disappointed and think that it is too expensive. But when you look at what the value of that conversion means to you, it may in fact be a great way to spend your money.

Suppose the value of each of your leads equals $100. That means that your R.O.I. (return on investment) is amazing!

So when is not the best time to run Facebook Ads? There are three critical factors to keep in mind before you attempt to run any Facebook advertising campaign:

No Great Offer

You need to have a compelling offer to send your traffic to when running ads. The other part of that is that your landing page needs to be high-converting. If you are trying to build your list and you send traffic to a free giveaway that nobody wants or doesn’t perceive to be valuable, the ad is wasted.

You also want to make sure that the promise in your ad matches what your landing page delivers.

If there is a disconnect between the offer and the opt-in page, people will not follow the call to action!

Missed Targeting

Sending ad traffic to the wrong demographic will burn through your money fast with little results. One of the great things about Facebook is that you can target so many specific demographics, such as age, gender and interests. But sometimes it can be way too confusing.

You would be surprised how much difference there can be in ad conversion with different targeting options.

No Monitoring of Metrics

If you don’t plan to measure, split test and check your results, then how will you know if your ads are working?

Don’t be afraid to put up multiple ads. In fact I recommend that you do. It’s far better to run a bunch and monitor and tweak them and then weed out the ones that aren’t working than it is to just put up 1 or 2.

When Facebook Ads WILL Work For You

At the end of the day, if you have a good product or business – Facebook Ads are a great way to get a high ROI for your marketing dollars. They just need to be done the right way.

Here Are Our Top 4 Facebook Advertising Tips:

1. Constant tweaking, altering, and optimization of your ads. It’s highly unlikely that your first ad is going to be a home run. If it is, great – but this is rare. A good campaign should be tweaked at least twice a week for best results.

2. Audience targeting should be in-depth and complete. Are you thinking of everyone? Do you know how to tell Facebook who you’re thinking of? Did you know you can use the email of your current customers to build a perfect audience metric for you?(Contact me for details)

3.There should be a custom landing page for each ad set. Your landing page is actually equally important as the Facebook ad itself, because even after they click on the ad – they still need to engage with you!

4. You should know what your ROI is! If you don’t know how much you’re making for every dollar you spend, then how do you know if it’s worth it or not? After all, you’re running a business here.
